Burna Boy established a new record on Spotify with “Love Damini”
Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and performer, Burna Boy have become the fastest African artist to reach 600 million streams with the album “Love Damini,” breaking an earlier record for African music on the digital streaming service Spotify.
Following its release in July 2022, ‘Love Damini‘ became the fastest African album to reach and surpass 600 million streams on Spotify.
This was accomplished in less than a year after the album’s release, which included some of the continent’s most popular songs at the time.
Some of these include: ‘Last Last,’ ‘Common Person,’ ‘It’s Plenty‘ and so on.

In the meantime, artist Burna Boy and fast-rising sensation Ayra Starr are set to headline the 2023 Dreamville Festival alongside American music stars Drake, Usher, and J. Cole.
J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival has revealed its roster for one of the most eagerly awaited musical events of the festival this year via his social media page, after the news of its return in 2023.
Artists from all over the world are expected to perform at the festival, which will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, from April 1-2 in Dorothea Dix Park.
On Saturday, April 1, Usher will be the featured performer along with Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, City Girls, Sean Paul, EarthGang, Jessie Reyez, Key Glock, SiR, Victony, and more artists.
Meanwhile, Sunday (April 2) features one of the world’s biggest international superstars Burna Boy, as well as a curated selection of artists like Summer Walker, J.I.D, GloRilla, Bas, Waka Flaka Flame, Mario, and many more.
