Nigerian Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy has revealed his plans for the summer jam performance where fans missed him on stage.
Some hours before the Summer Jam festival in New York City, Burna Boy joined a televised video call with American media personality Ebro Darden.
On that call, the singer expressed his excitement to be on stage and some tricks he planned to keep the audience on their toes.
The call, which was made in anticipation of the Summer Jam Fest on June 12th, was a four-way call between Burna Boy and Hot NYC hosts Laura Stylez, Rosenberg, and Ebro.

Ebro had asked Burna Boy how he felt about being a major performer at the festival, which is a major and one of the first summertime concerts in New York, and The African Giant said he felt blessed and honoured to be covering such shows.
Rosenberg had then nudged him to share how he planned to approach the Summer Jam concert differently than his headline show at Madison Square Garden, prompting a cheeky response from Burna Boy.
Burna Boy replied saying;
“I mean, if I tell you that, I’ve given away the whole thing haven’t I?” He also added that if he didn’t have tricks and surprises for his fans, he wouldn’t be Burna Boy.
However, Odogwu missed the show and while he’s yet to address his absence, the star had in the interview touched on how happy he was to see how his music, and Afrobeats in general, had grown to a global stage.
