Burna Boy has responded to South African artist, Sho Madjozi after she accused him of trying to bully her.
Mp3bullet.ng had made a post earlier on Sho Madjozi accusing Burna Boy of trying to bully her by ordering the Remix of Stormzy’s “Own It” which features her be brought down.
She claimed that the reason why Burna Boy did this was that she and Burna Boy were both nominated for the Best International Act category for BET 2020.
However, Burna Boy has come out to shut down the accusations saying that he doesn’t own the song and that the only reason why the remix would be brought down might be because Stormzy’s record, Atlantic Label didn’t grant permission.
He added that the fact the song was brought had nothing to do with him or the award and also congratulated Sho Madjozi for her Nominations.
Own It is NOT my song.If my voice is on it however it should have been properly cleared. If the remix wasn't cleared with the label(Atlantic US)it automatically gets flagged. Nothing to do with me personally or any award. Always best to reach out professionally. Congrats on BET’s!
