Slimcase says Burna Boy is still a new artist
Nigerian artist Oluwafemi Oladapo, popularly known as Slimcase, expressed admiration for his colleague Burna Boy, noting that Burna Boy’s music continues to sound fresh and innovative to him, despite Burna Boy’s extensive tenure in the music industry.
Slimcase, widely recognized for his hit track “Shaku Shaku,” shared his thoughts during a recent interview with Cool FM, Lagos. The interview, hosted by reality star Tacha, provided Slimcase with the opportunity to reflect on Burna Boy’s enduring impact and unique approach to music.
Slimcase said, “The top five artists I am feeling right now, Burna Boy is number one. He is still a new artist. He is always new to me everyday.
“I am also feeling Wizkid Chan, Omah Lay, Wizkid, and Baddest [Davido].”

He also acknowledged Mayorkun and Asake, on whose performance he reflected in his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ which has received a number of certifications due to millions of streams.
