Burna Boy reaches new heights on Hot 100 charts
Nigerian Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy has achieved another milestone, securing a new position on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart with the track ‘Just Like Me‘ by 21 Savage.
The collaboration ‘Just Like Me,’ featuring Burna Boy and Metro Boomin from 21 Savage’s latest album ‘American Dream,’ made a strong debut at the 67th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. This achievement now ties Burna Boy with fellow Nigerian singer and producer Tems, making them the African artists with the most charting songs in Billboard Hot 100 history.
The African Gaint currently has five charting singles: “Last Last,” “Loved by You,” “Sittin’ on Top of the World,” with 21 Savage, “Taliban II,” and now “Just Like Me.” All of these songs have hit the Billboard Hot 100. Tems has also managed to place five songs—”Free Mind,” “Wait For You,” “Move,” by Beyoncé and Grace Jones, “Essence,” by Wizkid, and “Fountains” by Drake—on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

In addition to his new spot on Billboard, Burna Boy has become the first Nigerian artist with the highest Grammy nominations. He has a total of ten nominations, which is a record for a Nigerian. The African giant has also become the first African artist to perform at the Grammy live show scheduled for February 5, 2024. His latest feat, his ‘Do I’ remix with Phyno, is now the number #1 song on Apple Music NG.
