Burna Boy hints at retirement
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, more commonly known as Burna Boy, has dropped hints about the possibility of retiring from the music scene.
The 32-year-old artist revealed that he’s currently contemplating taking a break from music, similar to the sabbatical taken by the billionaire Barbadian-American singer, Rihanna. Burna Boy alluded to a substantial contract that has been recently offered to him, suggesting that it may be a test of his dedication and passion for his musical career.
On his Instagram story on Sunday, he wrote “With the numbers I’m seeing on this contract, these next years of my life are about to really show if I really love doing music.
“God must really want to test my love for music. I just might bounce on y’all like Rihanna.”
