Burna Boy called out for driving one-way with police escort.
Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, is facing criticism online for driving against traffic in Lagos State.
A video that circulated online showed Burna Boy in his Rolls Royce, using one-way traffic, and being assisted by his security escort, who were police officers.
The security personnel cleared the way for him to reverse and drive against oncoming traffic to an unknown location. Although someone in the background was heard hailing the singer, Burna Boy did not respond and focused on driving off.
The incident has drawn condemnation from netizens who criticized both Burna Boy and the police for disregarding road rules, which they are meant to uphold and enforce.
