Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has cancelled yet another stop on his No Sign of Weakness US tour, just days after sending fans Thanksgiving greetings, sparking fresh waves of speculation and disappointment.

The December 1, 2025, show at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, a massive venue that can host up to 23,500 concertgoers, has been officially called off.
This follows the earlier cancellation of his November 28 performance at The Armory in Minneapolis, a smaller arena with a capacity of roughly 8,400.
The abrupt cancellations arrive in the wake of a controversial moment during the tour. While performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Burna Boy paused mid-show after noticing a woman in the front row appearing to fall asleep.
He publicly confronted her and her partner, insisting they leave before continuing the performance.
The fan later explained that she had been “mentally, physically, and emotionally drained,” grieving the recent death of her child’s father.
She had come to the concert seeking relief, only to be publicly shamed and removed, an experience she described as both humiliating and traumatizing.
The incident sparked intense debate online. Some defended Burna Boy, citing the high-energy nature of his shows and the expectation of an engaged audience.
Others criticized him for publicly embarrassing a paying fan, emphasizing that fatigue, grief, or personal struggles can impact anyone.
So far, neither Burna Boy’s team nor the concert promoters have provided an official explanation for the Minneapolis and Chicago cancellations.
Given the timing, many speculate that the decisions may be connected to the controversy, ticket sales, or public relations concerns rather than purely logistical reasons.
For fans who had purchased tickets, the cancellations represent a mix of frustration, disappointment, and uncertainty compounded by the lingering emotional fallout from the Red Rocks incident. Many are left questioning whether they still want to support the remainder of the tour.
