Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy leads the rankings as the most-streamed Nigerian artist on Apple Music. In celebration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, Apple Music shared a list featuring the country’s top artists, songs, and albums.

To honor Nigeria’s rich musical heritage, Apple Music launched “Oshe Naija” (Yoruba for “Thanks, Nigeria”), a month-long celebration spotlighting various regions that have played a key role in shaping Nigerian music and its global reach.

Apple Music revealed the top 10 most-streamed Nigerian artists on their platform as part of this initiative. Burna Boy, who gained international acclaim in 2018 with his breakout hit “YE,” claims the number one spot.

The list highlights some of Nigeria’s most influential musicians of the past decade. Wizkid ranks second, followed by Davido in third place, with Rema in fifth and Asake rounding out the top five, reflecting his recent string of chart-topping hits.

Tems stands out as the only female artist on the list, earning her place with her Grammy-winning music that has resonated with audiences worldwide.
