Burna Boy’s ‘City Boy’ Earns Platinum in France, Extends His Record as Most Certified Nigerian Artist

Grammy-winning global superstar Burna Boy has added yet another milestone to his impressive career, as his hit single ‘City Boy’ has been awarded platinum certification by SNEP in France.
This latest accolade marks Burna Boy’s ninth song to achieve platinum status in France, further cementing his position as the most certified Nigerian artist in the French music market — a testament to his global influence and popularity.
‘City Boy’ is one of the standout singles from Burna Boy’s critically acclaimed seventh studio album, ‘I Told Them,’ which has seen commercial success, particularly in France.
The country remains a significant market for the Afro-fusion superstar, who made history by selling out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France — a landmark achievement for any African artist.
