The latest UK Afrobeats Chart update has been unveiled, with Burna Boy and Wizkid’s new blockbuster single, Balon d’Or, taking the top spot on the chart.
With a fresh top spot entry for their new smash single, Balon d’Or, Nigerian afrobeats superstars Burna Boy and Wizkid have secured another no.1 achievement on the UK Afrobeats Chart.
The new update was released on Sunday, the 9th of January 2022.
Recall, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy recently released the video for Balon d’Or on the 7th of January 2022.
The video directed by Nigerian talented cinematography Director K for Prior Gold Pictures was shot in Lagos and has a special cameo appearance from Nigerian UCF Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.

By virtue of Balon d’Or gaining the top place in the current update, Burna Boy and Wizkid are now joint top of the UK Afrobeats Chart.
Odogwu also has two songs in the top ten, with Want It All, his collaboration with Polo G, presently occupying the 4th spot.
Joeboy’s “Alcohol” and 1da Banton’s “No Wahala” make up the second and third spots respectively.
CKay occupies the fifth spot with “Emiliana” followed by Mayorkun’s “Holy Father” in the 6th position.
Two NSG songs take the seventh and eighth spots before Davido and Focalistic’s “Champion Sound” in ninth place before Timaya and Buju’s “Cold Outside” rounded up the top 10.
