At the prestigious Met Gala event in 2023, Nigerian music stars, Burna Boy and Tems made their debuts, and they did not disappoint!
The Met Gala, frequently referred to as “Fashion’s Biggest Night,” featured Grammy-winning Nigerian artists on the red carpet for its 2023 edition on Monday, May 1st, 2022, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The Met Gala is undoubtedly the largest upscale fundraising occasion worldwide. Annually, it takes place at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The average admittance fee to the Gala is a stunning $30,000, while VIP and VVIP tickets are far more expensive.
The year 2023’s topic was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” in memory of the late designer, who frequently visited the Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Around 150 original works from his illustrious career are on display at the event, along with the corresponding original sketches.
Burna Boy showed up wearing a uniform of black and blue clothing with a light check pattern and a generous extension of the same material flowing behind him. Interestingly, the singer had a twin fashion moment when Irish actor Barry Keoghan appeared in similar attire.
Tems‘ stunning fashion moment at the 2023 Oscars is still fresh in fans’ minds, but the singer made a comeback on the red carpet in another eye-catching ensemble.
She looked stunning in a black-and-white outfit. The dress, one of Robert Wun’s most recent signature styles, included an elbow-length pair of gloves, a corset-like black top, and a flowing royal white finish at the bottom.
