Bukayo Saka Reveals How Tough He Made Decision To Choose England over Nigeria.
Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka has finally broken silence about his decision to play for England’s national team instead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Saka, a Nigerian born in the UK, had the option of playing for the West African nation but finally choose to represent the Three Lions of England.
Recall, Former Nigerian Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick made every effort to persuade the Arsenal player to choose the Super Eagles before the player ultimately decided on England.
Saka has been in Nigeria for a few days. While there, he also paid a visit to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of the Lagos State.
The footballer from Arsenal was questioned about his decision to play for England rather than the Super Eagles.
Speaking to Sky Sports quickly “on the tough” decision after pitching his tent with England, he stated, “It’s a tough choice.”
Bukayo Saka: “Choosing Nigeria over England would of been a tough decision. My whole family has been in England like forever, it would be very strange for me to adapt to an environment that I had never been at since growing up. When I grew up all my documents stated that I am English, hopefully Nigerian people will understand.”
