The new record Park Jimin of BTS set on the Spotify charts with his song “Like Crazy” completely rocked the K-Pop industry in 2023.
Park Jimin, a member of the world’s biggest boy group, BTS, has set a new milestone for K-Pop on the Spotify charts with the lead single from his debut album ‘Face,’ titled Like Crazy, as the smash song reached number one on the digital streaming platform’s worldwide top songs daily list.
The talented vocalist also became the Korean artist with the highest debut on the Spotify Top Songs Nigeria (daily) charts with over 12,000 views on the first day of its release, beating the previous record set by fellow member J-Hope with his collaboration with J Cole titled ‘On The Street.’
His debut album ‘Face‘ became the highest-selling album by a Korean solo artist on the first day. Also, it became the best-selling album by a Korean soloist in history, with over 1.3 million copies sold so far.

With his debut solo single, “Like Crazy,” Jimin of K-pop behemoth BTS has topped the world’s largest music streaming service Spotify’s World Top 50 chart.
“Face,” the first single from his first official solo album, debuted at No. 1 on the daily worldwide chart on Sunday with over 6.01 million streams, only two days after debuting at No. 2 on the day of its release.
In Japan, “Face” topped the current Oricon weekly albums chart with 225,000 copies sold, making him the first solo artist to do so this year.
The six-track album also set the record for the biggest first-week sales by a soloist in Japan this year, his agency, BigHit Music said, quoting Oricon.
According to the Hanteo Chart, a local tracker of K-pop album sales, Jimin became the first K-pop soloist with an album selling over 1 million copies on the day of its release when “Face” sold 1,021,532 copies.
It also topped the iTunes’ top albums charts in 63 regions around the world, while its main single, “Like Crazy,” was the No. 1 song on the service’s top songs charts in 111 regions Saturday.
