Bruno Mars breaks all-time Spotify monthly listener record for the second time
Grammy-winning pop icon Bruno Mars has achieved a new milestone on Spotify, amassing 130 million monthly listeners—the highest monthly count recorded on the platform.
This feat follows the release of his recent singles “Die With A Smile” with Lady Gaga and a guest appearance on Rose’s track “APT.” These collaborations mark Mars’ return to music after his acclaimed 2021 Grammy-winning project ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic‘ with AndersonPaak.
Mars‘ achievement surpasses the previous record of 120 million monthly listeners set by The Weeknd, who was the first artist to cross the 100 million monthly listener mark before pushing his record further.
This record-breaking milestone reflects Bruno Mars‘ continued influence as one of the world’s top pop stars. With over 36 billion Spotify streams, Mars has 14 songs that have each surpassed one billion streams, bringing him close to Canadian superstar Drake’s record of 16 songs.
Mars’ success on Spotify underlines his global popularity and staying power in the music industry, solidifying his place as one of the most commercially successful artists of the 21st century.
