Nigerian singer Darkoo has responded humorously to a fan by playfully commenting on her sexuality and encouraging her to “switch sides.”

The lighthearted exchange began on October 9, 2024, when a user on X (formerly Twitter) named Najilal quoted a lyric from one of Darkoo’s songs, jokingly questioning its phrasing. Najilal wrote, “Lemme put my kids in you??? Darkoo please, not today.”

The post sparked a wave of playful comments about both the lyric and Darkoo’s sexuality. Amid the banter, another user chimed in, suggesting she “collect better preek leave les sh!t.” In her witty response, Darkoo quipped, “Bring your babe, let’s see who fit knack pass,” which only added to the amusement of her followers.

Darkoo’s fun and candid interaction kept the tone light, with fans enjoying her sense of humor amidst the teasing.

    See the post below:

The popular singer Darkoo, known for being open about her sexuality as a lesbian through her music, has previously shared her experience of coming out to her Nigerian parents.

In a September 2024 interview with Layo on The Appointment Show, Darkoo revealed that although her parents do not fully align with her sexuality, they have nonetheless accepted her and continue to love her unconditionally.

She explained, “This is what makes me happy and I feel whole, I don’t feel like I’m faking it or doing what I don’t want to do. This is me at the end of the day, I’m very spiritual and I feel like I have a good relationship with God, my heart is clean and pure and I’m loving,” she continued.

“I bring girls home and my parents don’t mind. I have parents who love me for me and at the end of the day, I know they don’t think what I’m doing is right because they’re African at the end of the day. But they love me and that’s what it is,” she concluded.
