BREAKING: South African Rapper, Costa Titch Is Dead

Rapper Costa Titch has passed away, adding to the sadness of the country’s music industry. The performer, whose real name is Costa Tsobanoglou, reportedly passed out on stage on Saturday, March 12, 2023, during the Ultra music festival.

Costa Titch, a singer and dancer, was born in 1995 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, and has become recognized for his songs Activate and Nkalakatha.

Just before midnight, entertainment analyst Phil Mphela announced Costa Titch’s death on Twitter, and a slew of sombre responses from peers in the business followed.

Junior Da Rocka, a fellow musician, and Julius Malema, the head of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), are among others who appear to hint at the rapper’s passing.

Although AKA, a fellow rapper whose real name was Kiernan Forbes, was still being remembered by music enthusiasts, Costa Titch died suddenly. The South African Police Service (SAPS) is still looking into the shooting that took place outside a restaurant in Durban involving unidentified hitmen. It’s interesting to note that Costa Titch and AKA both contributed to the song Super Soft.

    LITTLE TRIBUTES OF COSTA TITCH……

In the latter half of 2022, the Amapiano video for his track Big Flexa, which had been released in December 2021, received the most views and meanwhile, Alfa Kat, Banaba Des, Sdida, Man T, and C’buda M all appear in the song. The rapper performed flawlessly with the neighbourhood dance troupe Soweto’s Finest in the song’s music video.

The video has officially surpassed 30.7 million views on YouTube, surpassing Amanikiniki by Kamo Mphela, Bontle Smith, Major League DJz, and MFR Souls, which had 30 million views.

Also, Big Flexa has won over followers on TikTok and Spotify. More than six million people have listened to the song on Spotify, while more than 105 000 people have fully exploited the sound on TikTok.
