An autopsy report on the late singer MohBad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, has been released, revealing the possible cause of his death.
The autopsy, conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), involved retrieving samples of Mohbad’s gastric content, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lung for toxicology tests.
According to the report, Mohbad had an injury on his right forearm, and his body showed moderate to severe decomposition upon exhumation. The toxicology report found Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, but not at a fatal concentration.
The report suggests the possibility of a drug reaction or anaphylactic shock. It also notes that the body was not embalmed before burial and was exhumed eight days after burial, potentially affecting the toxicology results.
The report states, “Following the Order for Exhumation, the body was exhumed on 21/09/2023 (8 days after the burial)… in light of the foregoing, cause of death could not be ascertained. However, the possibility of a fatal anaphylactic shock (drug reaction) could be considered in view of the absence of any significant post-mortem and toxicology findings.”
Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, was surrounded by mystery, leading to the arrest of several suspects, including an auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to him before his death. He was buried the following day.
