Real Madrid reach agreement with Borussia Dortmund over Jude Bellingham.
The transfer of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid has been agreed upon, and he is now having a medical in the Spanish capital.
The two parties’ arrangement was near, and we stated last month that an agreement was finally in place.
Dortmund had sought a total transfer cost of €150 million; Real has agreed to pay an initial €100 million plus add-ons; sources have informed that they are very delighted with the arrangement achieved.
Bellingham is already in Madrid for medical testing, which enables the England star to continue knee rehabilitation after injury prevented him from finishing the season with Dortmund. Despite being a member of Gareth Southgate’s team, the injury appears to put him out of the Three Lions’ next Euro 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Malta.
The agreement between Real and Dortmund comes after contract terms were finalised with Bellingham at the beginning of May.
Birmingham, who will receive about 5% of the transfer, will also be pleased with the news.
