Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and performer, Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has reacted to the criticism he received for his recent performance at Afronation and blamed the organizers.

The singer made it known that his performance flaw was a result of a bad sound.

The singer performed on the third day of the recently concluded 2022 Afro Nation, and a video of his performance has received widespread criticism.

He's struggling ! He can't even hear himself. Don't they give in-earphones. He's not in sync with the sound. Omo if bad sound catch you, I no know the kind skills when u get, u go too fail. This is the reason why I encourage stage and dress rehearsals.

Buju is not ready, Master your craft at home first before climbing that big stage, oyinbo people want value for their money its not like Naija wey dem go pay to come sing your song back to you.

When you see rubbish like this, it makes you appreciate Burna more. You are performing at a big festival like afronation, and you can't even rehearse.

    Una go learn by force

In response to the backlash, BNXN spoke about the criticized performance at the 2022 Afro Nation on a Twitter space hosted by Nigerian Youtuber and Afrocentric music enthusiast, Emmanuel Owoniyi (@EmmanOwoniyi).

According to BNXN, the organizers didn’t allow him to run a soundcheck before the performance.

He also stated that the front speakers on the stage were turned off while he was performing, forcing him to rely on the rear speakers.
