BNXN says he will win Grammy
Daniel Benson, the remarkable Nigerian singer-songwriter, known by his stage name BNXN (formerly Buju), is steadfast in his belief that he will eventually win the music industry’s most coveted prize, the Grammy Award.
While setting his sights on achieving legendary status in the Nigerian music scene, the Afrobeats superstar recently graced the cover of Teen Vogue’s Africa’s New Wave, appearing alongside Ayra Starr and Victony.
With determination in his heart, the artist behind the hit track ‘Finesse’ emphasized that while a Grammy would be an incredible achievement, his ultimate aspiration is to leave a lasting legacy in the world of music, ensuring his name stands among the greats, with or without the prestigious accolade.
“Nice to get [a 2022 Headies Award for Next Rated Artist], but not something I’m really hoping for. I’m going to get a Grammy just doing what I do.
“I’m looking for legendary status. I want to enjoy this and take it to the highest level possible, Grammy or not,” he said.
