BNXN should explain why he refused to be on my song – CKay
Nigerian artist Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, has chosen not to delve into the reasons behind his colleague BNXN’s decision to be removed from his song, “Hallelujah.”
In an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, CKay explained that the 2023 hit track originally featured Seyi Vibez and BNXN, but the version released to the public included Hip Hop artist Blaqbonez. He mentioned that BNXN requested to be taken off the track, and Seyi Vibez’s management failed to clear up his verse.
When asked for more details on why BNXN opted out, CKay stated that he doesn’t know the reasons and only BNXN can provide an explanation. Despite the changes, CKay expressed no regrets about releasing the version with Blaqbonez, emphasizing that it turned out to be a hit.
“One thing I can tell you is that BNXN asked to be taken off the record [‘Hallelujah’]. Why he asked to be taken off the record is a question you will have to ask him,” he said.
