Blaqbonez speaks out on controversial government decision

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has voiced his opinion on the House of Representatives’ directive to block all pornographic websites in the country, a move that has sparked widespread debate.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) was instructed to enforce the ban, restricting access to adult content nationwide.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Blaqbonez criticized the decision, arguing that the government was prioritizing the wrong issues. He humorously referenced popular adult star Destiny Mira, suggesting that such content is a source of comfort for many Nigerians.
“This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her,” he posted.
His remarks have further ignited online conversations, with many Nigerians questioning the government’s focus on internet censorship rather than addressing pressing national issues.
