“The greatest love song in Nigeria ever is African Queen by 2face Idibia” – Blaqbonez

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has declared 2Baba’s “African Queen” as the greatest love song in Nigeria.
During a podcast discussion with Major AJ, the rapper emphasized the song’s legendary status, stating:
“There is no song like 2Face’s ‘African Queen.’ The song is the greatest love song in Nigeria. It was the greatest song for decades.”
Originally released in 2004, African Queen remains one of Nigerian music’s most iconic love songs. The song’s music video famously featured Annie Idibia (2Face’s wife, his girlfriend at the time) and actress Yvonne Jegede.
Blaqbonez, who is known for his anti-love stance in his music, acknowledging African Queen as the greatest love song shows just how impactful the track has been over the years.

In other news, during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the “Louer” hitmaker shared his thoughts on stepping away from his music career, emphasizing his desire to leave behind a lasting legacy and secure his future.
“I will keep doing my music to the point where I know that I’ve saved up something that would last me for a lifetime; enough legacies. And I project I will be done in the next three to five years,” he stated.
Discussing his post-retirement plans, Blaqbonez hinted at staying within the entertainment industry in a different capacity.
“I will find another job in the entertainment industry. I would probably work as a consultant to a record label,” he added.
