Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, better known by his stage name Blaqbonez, has addressed ongoing speculations about his age, putting rumors to rest in a candid interview.
The Like Ice Spice hitmaker, whose age has been a topic of debate among fans and online communities, clarified his real age during an appearance on Naija FM in Lagos.
“I am not close to 40. I am 30. But I guess that’s closer to 40 than closer to zero,” Blaqbonez remarked, displaying his characteristic humor.
The clarification comes after widespread speculation that the rapper was nearing his 40s. Known for his witty personality and genre-defying music, Blaqbonez has remained unfazed by the chatter, using the opportunity to directly address fans and critics alike.

In other news, During a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the “Louer” hitmaker shared his thoughts on stepping away from his music career, emphasizing his desire to leave behind a lasting legacy and secure his future.
“I will keep doing my music to the point where I know that I’ve saved up something that would last me for a lifetime; enough legacies. And I project I will be done in the next three to five years,” he stated.
Discussing his post-retirement plans, Blaqbonez hinted at staying within the entertainment industry in a different capacity.
“I will find another job in the entertainment industry. I would probably work as a consultant to a record label,” he added.
