Blaqbonez apologises to Adekunle Gold for what happened at OAU 8 years ago.
Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has apologized to music star AG Baby on behalf of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife, Osun state.
On Friday night, Adekunle Gold spoke about a 2015 incident at the university in which he was humiliated in his hotel room after giving a performance.
He reportedly received N300k in payment for performing at the school, but he only took the stage for approximately three minutes, singing only his debut hit, “Sade,” before he left, an action which outraged students and the organisers.
Invading his accommodation, they allegedly manhandled him before taking half of the N300,000. Adekunle continues to be plagued by the memories of his ordeal from that day.
He wrote on Twitter: “I had Just one song out then (SADE), those fuckers knew it! they booked me! I prostrated for the students (No wham). I hyped the crowd up, performed Acapella, Sang the full song (SADE), Entered the crowd, Performed again. came back to the stage did the same thing again!
They were going to harm me! Do you know how insane that is? Your foolish Rep come dey lie for here? Ori yin ti Daru! They followed me to my hotel to get half of their 300k that they paid me back. I had one song! ONE! If you like go OAU go perform, anything wey your eyes see is on you.“

Adekunle Gold became angry after the OAU invited artists in reaction to the attack on musicians at the Lagos State University (LASU) major auditorium on Thursday during a concert organized by renowned dancer Poco Lee.
The homecoming concert was reportedly going well until rumoured cultists broke into the arena to cause mayhem and disrupt the celebration.
Bella Shmurda was seen being hurried out of the hallway in viral videos with his face seeming swollen and painful after he was allegedly smacked. Additionally, rapper Odumodublvck was photographed leaving the venue with Smada and his team.
Unspecified numbers of people reportedly suffered attacks and injuries during the stampede. When the music concert grew violent, singer Olabinjo Ayotunde Quam, popularly known as T Dollar, was also attacked.
It was also reported that a number of performers, including dancers and artists, left the location as soon as they finished, while others missed the event out of concern for their safety.
