Blackface weighs in on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce saga
Veteran Nigerian singer, Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, has publicly addressed his former bandmate, Innocent Idibia 2Baba, and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, urging them to handle their divorce proceedings with dignity and maturity.
In an open letter, Blackface extended his well wishes to the couple, emphasizing the importance of maintaining decorum during this challenging period.
“My open letter to Innocent Idibia and Annie Macaulay Idibia. I bid to you both good tidings Mr & Mrs Idibia. I am reaching out to you guys in this time to remind us to show decorum and be civil with whatever proceedings you may be going through,” he wrote.
The ‘Ghetto Child‘ crooner, who himself has experienced separation, reminded 2Baba and Annie of their status as public figures, noting that their actions influence many.
“As role models, we should always set good examples for this generation to emulate and the older generations to be proud.”
Blackface further advised that airing personal issues in public might not be the best approach, as every relationship has its challenges.
“Let’s keep it together in the family, as every relationship has its ups and downs.”
Concluding his message, he offered prayers for the couple, hoping they find the strength to navigate this difficult period.
“I pray God gives you both the strength to scale through this. My regards to your families and my love to your kids. With Love ❤️ Blackfacenaija,” he wrote.
The letter comes amid growing public interest in the reported breakdown of 2Baba and Annie’s marriage, with many hoping for an amicable resolution between the two.
