You have seen my blood, sweat & tears- Black Sherif expresses optimism ahead of VGMAs.
In anticipation of the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), young and talented Ghanaian musician Black Sherif posted a cryptic message on his social media profile to express his excitement.
According to the post, the music artist has requested the assistance of his followers and music enthusiasts ahead of the famous award scheme, which is scheduled on May 13, 2023.
The youthful musician captivated Ghanaians with his ability and strong musical approach throughout the year under review, releasing multiple popular songs. He was nominated in 11 categories, putting him in a great position to win a number of awards on D-Day.
Among the many categories in which he was nominated, the rapper and songwriter took home awards for Artiste of the Year, Vodafone’s Most Popular Song, Reggae/Dancehall Song, and Collaboration of the Year.
Black Sherif took over Twitter to introduce himself to his followers and request their support in order to be recognized for his work. This was presumably done due to the VGMAs’ reputation for being unexpected and full of contentious decisions.
He wrote:
You’ve seen m blood, sweat & tears. You’ve seen the ups & downs of my journey. I’ve had my lips shut and my eyes opened ever since I stepped in the game. I don’t plan on changing that, not today, not tomorrow. Let’s go VGMA.
