Ghanaian superstar Black Sherif recently took a stand against illegal mining (Galamsey) during his performance at the annual Tidal Rave event, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Themed “Catch the Sun,” the event saw Black Sherif highlight the detrimental effects of Galamsey on water bodies and forest reserves through impactful visuals that played during his set.

The images deeply resonated with the audience, who passionately chanted his name, “Blacko, Blacko,” as he voiced his concerns.

At 22, Black Sherif has joined the growing list of celebrities like Gyakie and Dr. Likee, who have been vocal in their opposition to illegal mining. Dr. Likee even teased an upcoming movie focused on the issue of Galamsey.

Despite the earlier rain that delayed the event’s start to 4 pm, fans showed up in large numbers, eager for incredible performances.

The night featured unforgettable performances from top Ghanaian artists such as R2Bees, Edem, Kwesi Arthur, Pappy Kojo, and KiDi.

The energy peaked with powerful performances from Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie, leaving the crowd enthralled and the event a resounding success.
