The SA artist Becomes The First African DJ To Win A Grammy Award.
At the 64th Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, South African DJ Black Coffee became the first African DJ to win a Grammy Award in the best dance/electronic album category.
With his 2021 LP titled “Subconsciously,” Black Coffee became the first African DJ to win a Grammy Award in the best dance/electronic album category at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
Aside from winning, The SA star made history by becoming the first South African producer and DJ to be nominated for that prestigious award.

In his acceptance speech at the premiere ceremony, the artist said that,
“I want to thank God for the gift of music and being able to share it with the world and heal some souls.”
