Bella Shmurda Shares His Reasons for Wearing Skirts
In an interview with media personality Ebuka on the Rubbin’ Minds show, self-proclaimed newborn Fela, Bella Shmurda discussed the reasons why he has been donning skirts.
The music star claims it serves as both a sort of brand identity for him and a way to advance African culture.
Bella Shmurda stated;
“This is my own way of being unique, every artiste has a way of being identified, this is mine to promote African culture.”
Following Ebuka’s mention of the controversy surrounding his skirt-clad presence on the BB Naija show, Bella Shmurda stated that he has been wearing skirts for two years and that, while he was not wearing skirts to chase clout, he did utilise them and his art as a means of expression.

“The Newborn Fela” crooner previously rocked a skirt for his performance at the BB Naija live show some weeks ago and also wore a skirt in the video of his hit single, Rush.
Coincidentally the star was also wearing one during his interview with Ebuka.
