I was the first to upload full music video on Twitter – Bella Shumurda asks Elon Musk for royalties.
Nigerian singer, Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, professionally known as Bella Shmurda, has requested that Twitter CEO Elon Musk honour and acknowledge him for being the first to provide extended video sharing on the microblogging network.
In the case that Twitter decides to charge for video uploads, Bella stated that he ought to get royalties.
After claiming to be the first person to post a whole music video on Twitter a while back, he made the request.
The CashApp crooner’s statement came after Musk announced that people subscribed to Twitter’s Blue Tick now have the capability of uploading videos that are two hours long.
The billionaire wrote; “Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can now upload 2 hour videos (8GB)!”

In response, Shmurda said that if the platform wanted to launch a reward program, creatives like him should be on the list because it costs money and takes a lot of work to produce and market a music video.
He wrote; “I was the first to upload a full musical video Incase you decide to monetize and start paying royalties!! videos costs sweat, blood and lot of $$$.. you can choose to start rewarding creatives”·
The singer added; “You can as well start by subscribing a year long blue tick for me.”]
