Bella Shmurda set to release new album on the 1 year memorial of Mohbad’s passing
Nigerian hip-hop artist Bella Shmurda is gearing up to release a new album on the one-year anniversary of Mohbad’s passing. Following his successful show in the United Kingdom, Bella stopped by the Capital Xtra Radio station to discuss his plans for 2024.
During the interview, Bella Shmurda revealed that he intends to drop two projects in 2024. The first will be an EP, followed by an album set to release in September.
Furthermore, Bella Shmurda announced that the album will be released on September 12, 2024, in tribute to the late Street Pop sensation and his friend Mohbad, who tragically passed away on the same date in 2023. This gesture serves as a heartfelt homage to his late friend while showcasing Bella Shmurda’s commitment to honoring his memory through his music.

Now, Bella Shmurda is set to release an EP titled ‘Road To September 12,’ serving as a precursor to his upcoming album dedicated to Mohbad. This EP follows the success of Bella Shmurda’s 2023 EP ‘DND,’ which featured hit singles like ‘Ara‘ and ‘NSV‘ featuring Tiwa Savage.
In the aftermath of Mohbad’s untimely death, Nigerian artists came together to honor his memory with over 60 tribute songs. Bella Shmurda’s tribute album stands as another significant contribution, celebrating Mohbad’s legacy and profound impact on the Nigerian music scene. Through his music, Bella Shmurda pays homage to his friend and ensures that Mohbad’s influence lives on.
