Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda honored the memory of his late friend, Mohbad, at the recently concluded Island Block Party.
Mohbad passed away in Lagos on September 12, 2023, due to an alleged ear infection. The former Marlian act was buried in his hometown of Ikorodu less than 24 hours after his death.
Since Mohbad’s passing, Bella Shmurda has consistently found ways to honor his friend’s memory. During his performance at the Island Block Party, Bella Shmurda paid tribute by performing Mohbad’s hit song “KPK,” which features record producer Rexxie.
Bella also mimicked Mohbad’s dance moves, further thrilling the crowd and keeping his friend’s spirit alive.

Recall, The family of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has expressed dissatisfaction with the inconclusive toxicology report released by a pathologist.
According to recent reports, Mohbad’s family has rejected the toxicology report. The family’s legal representatives, Wahab Shittu and Taiwo Odumosu, held a virtual press conference to reject the report and call on the Lagos State government to conduct a new test to ensure transparency in the process.
Additionally, the family has appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate the cause of Mohbad’s death and bring those responsible to justice.
