Bella Shmurda celebrates Mohbad’s posthumous birthday
Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda has turned to his social media page to commemorate the posthumous birthday of his late friend and fellow musician, Mohbad. The late singer would have turned 28 today, January 3rd, 2024.
Bella Shmurda, who dedicated a song to Mohbad after his passing, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing, “Love u forever and I miss u.”

In other news, Bella Shmurda has expressed his shock and grief over the passing of his colleague and friend, Mohbad. He mentioned in an Instagram story that he is still struggling to come to terms with Mohbad’s death and has resorted to alcohol as a coping mechanism.
Bella Shmurda also shared his regret that his son, Abiola Imole, whom he named after Mohbad, will grow up without the opportunity to know his namesake. Despite his grief, he pledged to uphold Mohbad’s legacy and take care of his son, Liam. This heartfelt message reveals the impact of Mohbad’s passing on those close to him.
Sharing a picture of Mohbad, Bella Shmurda wrote: “You told me to stop it [mourning]. [I] have been trying. I just hope you’re okay where you are, cos [I] have not been happy for days. [I] have been drinking and going back and forth on how to move on.
“It’s said [that] Abiola Imole never get to know you. But be rest assured [that] I will tell your story. And I will definitely take care of our fruit [son]. I’m passing all the love to our sons.
