Altay Bayindir sends message to Man United fans following blunder on Premier League debut after replacing Andre Onana

Altay Bayindir has spoken out following a difficult Premier League debut, which saw Manchester United suffer a heavy defeat to Newcastle United.
The Turkish goalkeeper was handed his first league appearance after replacing André Onana, who had come under fire for errors in United’s 2-2 Europa League draw against Lyon.
But Bayindir’s big moment turned into a nightmare at St James’ Park as he conceded four goals, including a crucial mistake that led to Newcastle’s fourth.
With United trailing 3-1, Bayindir’s attempt to clear the ball was poorly executed and intercepted by Joelinton, allowing Bruno Guimarães to slot home moments later and seal a dominant 4-1 win for the Magpies.
The 26-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2023, faced a barrage of criticism from fans online after the match. Despite the backlash, Bayindir remained composed and took to Instagram to address supporters. He posted matchday photos along with a message that read:
“Honored to make my Premier League debut for this club. Not the result we wanted, but I’ll keep pushing, keep fighting. We’ll be back stronger — keep believing.”
