Eric Dier joins Bayern Munich from Tottenham in £3m transfer deal.

Eric Dier has officially left Tottenham Hotspur to embark on a January transfer to Bayern Munich, concluding his nine-and-a-half-year tenure in north London.
The 29-year-old, now in Munich to finalize the transfer formalities, is set to reunite with former Spurs teammate Harry Kane in Bavaria, where Kane moved to the Allianz Arena in August. Reports from Germany indicate that the transfer fee for Dier will be based on appearances and achievements, potentially earning Tottenham around £3 million.
With Dier’s contract status at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club faced the risk of losing the experienced defender for nothing in the summer when his contract expires.

Dier’s move to the Allianz Arena follows Bayern’s unsuccessful attempt to sign Radu Dragusin before Spurs secured the deal. Despite a late effort from Bayern, Dragusin opted for Tottenham over the German club, which reportedly offered a more lucrative package and Champions League football.
This transfer provides Dier with a fresh start in Germany after a challenging season at Tottenham. Excluded from Ange Postecoglou’s plans following a summer of changes in London, the English international had limited Premier League appearances this season, often serving as an unused substitute.
