I think it would be cool to marry Ghanaian wife; Basketmouth says after divorce.
After announcing his divorce a few months ago, Popular Nigerian artist Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, hinted at marrying a Ghanaian woman and declared himself single and looking for love.
In an interview with Accra-based Hitz FM, the Nigerian comedian disclosed his plans to date Ghanaian women and eventually marry one of them.
Recall, Basketmouth openly announced his divorce from his wife, Elsie Uzoma Okpocha, on December 22, 2022, in a viral Instagram post which has now been deleted.
Announcing the end of his 12-year marriage, he said “for the first and the last time as much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.

He said: “After much deliberation, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.”
The famed stand-up comedian, who is in Ghana for a rib-cracking gig, has declared his admiration for the West African country, its language, and its gorgeous ladies.
In an interview with Andy Dosty today, March 28th, 2023, he stated that he is single and intends to allow himself some time before entering into a new relationship following his divorce from Elsie.
“Twi is an amazing language, I am going to learn more. On my way here, I said to myself, wouldn’t it be cool to learn the language and come stay here for like a year? You know, just chill, get married to a Ghana woman and stuff,” he said amidst laughter.
“I am single but you know I am just kidding. I am not ready to jump into anything just yet…maybe am not kidding, who knows,” Basketmouth added.
