• Banky W Gets Final Verdict On PDP Primary Election Re-run

• The music star finally wins the Eti-Osa PDP primary election re-run.

Nigerian singer, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has again been declared the winner of the PDP primary re-run for the Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election.

Following the unexpected turn of events in the initial election, the singer received the final verdict on the Eti-Osa PDP primary election re-run.

Banky W had a landslide victory, polling 24 votes out of 29 votes cast by delegates at the primary rerun held in Lagos on Monday.

On Monday, June 6, 2022, Banky was declared the winner in the primary election which was conducted and concluded in Lagos.

The musician who had declared his interest in to contest under the umbrella of PDP was officially announced as the winner of the primary re-run.

A video on his campaign Instagram page showed the counting of the votes, as attendees chanted victory songs and lifted him up in the air.

This comes two weeks after he was declared the election winner, but his challenger, Aiboni, was declared the winner on the result slip.

Following the controversies that trailed the primary, another election was scheduled for today (Monday).

Announcing his victory, Banky W’s campaign team said, “While we are grateful for our success at the primaries, we are completely heartbroken at the state of our nation.
