According to him, the day he heard Brymo’s voice, he was amazed and wanted to add the singer to his label but couldn’t as the label didn’t have enough funds to do so.
“You know who else I wanted to sign? In the beginning, I wanted to sign Brymo. The first time Segun and I heard Brymo’s music was like ‘Yo, this guy is dope. Yunno It would be great and he even got in touch at the time but looking at the account and the money you have…, you make decision to say I can’t do it at this time” he tells Ebuka.

He also referenced Tiwa Savage’s Black Box interview where she mentioned that before she got signed to Mavin Records, she had approached Banky’s Label and other record companies but was turned down.
Banky referring to her statement revealed that his inability to sign her wasn’t because he didn’t believe in her talent but he didn’t have enough resources to add her to the company.
He also stated that the money he was making at the time from performances and endorsement was what was sustaining the Label and his other expenses.
He recounted when he signed a deal with Samsung, half of the money from the endorsement was invested back into the business while the remaining half was shared between him and the other shareholders.
Banky also revealed that he once had over twelve persons including Wizkid, Skales and others living with him and he had to be responsible for their feeding.
