Nigerian Singer and Entrepreneur, Banky W reacted to Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje saying that he would not waste time signing the death warrant on a Kano-based singer, Yahaya Sharif, who was sentenced to death by an Upper Shariah Court for blasphemy.
Ganduje made the remark at a stakeholders meeting on the issue at the Government House, Kano where he revealed that he would sign the warrant after 30 days if it’s not appealed.
Banky W in response slammed the Governor for wanting to go ahead with the warrant when he himself was caught in a compromising act a few years ago.
“The Governor signing the death warrant was seen on camera pocketing thousands of dollars in bribes “allegedly”… how come the Sharia penalty of cutting off his hands doesn’t apply to him?”
