Davido’s ‘A Good Time’ Sets New Spotify Record
Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adedeji Adeleke OON, who is professionally known as Davido has set a new Spotify record with his ‘A Good Time’ album, which was released on November 22, 2019, and contains 14 tracks.
Davido, who ranks a respectable third among “the big 3” in Nigeria, has been keeping the country under control for more than ten years with his gorgeous performances.
The singer surpasses personal streaming records with ‘A Good Time’. Following its release, “A Good Time” broke numerous African and Nigerian records on each of the five major music streaming services in Nigeria.
Guest appearances on the 14-track album feature Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld, and Naira Marley, as well as some top producers.
Davido is recognized to be smashing records on any streaming platform whenever he releases a song.
His second album, “A Good Time,” recently set a new record on Spotify. Everyone appeared to be so taken with Timeless that they went to spin ancient records in order to admire him even more. The album became his first to reach this milestone after crossing 300 million Spotify streams.

On March 31, 2023, The DMW boss released his fourth album. The highly anticipated 17-track album came off the back of a rare quiet moment from the award-winning artist who has made a name for himself as Africa’s most formidable hitmaker.
A week after its release, “Timeless” has broken several African and Nigerian records across all five of Nigeria’s main music streaming platforms.
Timeless has won the most debut week award across all five of Nigeria’s top streaming services, which is an outstanding demonstration of both the song’s popularity and Davido’s commercial acumen.
The biggest album debut in Spotify Nigeria’s history was made by “Timeless,” which amassed 14.5 million streams during the week of March 31–April 6. Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” had previously held the record with 4.89M streams.
