Nigerian Afropop trailblazer Bad Boy Timz, born Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, has ushered in 2025 with the release of his vibrant new EP, WA JO PA, a dynamic 8-track offering that continues his steady rise in the music scene.

Coming on the heels of his 2023 debut album No Bad Boy, No Party—which featured stars like Olamide and Zlatan—this fresh project showcases a matured, more confident Timz who effortlessly blends streetwise swagger with infectious melody.
Since his 2020 breakout hit MJ, the Bells University computer engineering graduate has consistently pushed boundaries, and WA JO PA clearly reflects his artistic evolution.
Translating to “Dance Till You Burst” in Yoruba, WA JO PA lives up to its explosive name with a fusion of Afrobeats, street-hop, and contemporary pop. The EP features singles like Say Wetin, a high-spirited ode to Nigerian Pidgin, and Later, a sleek blend of rhythm and melody.
New bangers like Big Engine—an ode to bold, confident women—and the high-octane Yo-Yo add extra flavor, with fans already hailing the project’s energy and replay value.

With production credits including Reward Beatz on four tracks, the EP delivers a polished, genre-rich soundscape that builds on Timz’s earlier work with Anonymous Music, Shock Absorbers, and EMPIRE.
Notably, Bad Boy Timz flies solo across all eight tracks, showcasing his vocal dexterity and songwriting chops without any features. It’s a confident statement from the 2020 Headies Rookie of the Year, one that highlights his resilience following a very public split from his former label.
Tracks like Big Engine have been praised for their irresistible “Asewo vibes,” and early listener reactions crown the EP a “no-skip” experience. With WA JO PA, Timz cements his place in the upper ranks of Afropop, blending fun, flair, and cultural pride into a project made to light up speakers and dancefloors from Lagos to London.
