Popular Nigerian singer Ayra StarrAyra Starr has made a surprising revelation about her past activities on the internet, admitting that she once ran a fan page for American rapper Nicki Minaj and even engaged in online trolling before she became famous.
The ‘Rush’ crooner made this disclosure during a recent appearance on the “I Said What I Said” podcast, where she humorously expressed her lingering desire to be an internet troll.
According to her, trolling others might help her develop a thicker skin when faced with negative comments online.
“Sometimes I want to be a troll on the internet, probably with a fake page so that when people insult me I won’t feel bad because I do the same,” she said, eliciting laughter from the podcast hosts.
She further referenced global superstar Rihanna as an example of a celebrity known for her witty and ruthless clap-backs, reminiscing about the singer’s infamous responses to critics.
“Rihanna that year, she used to clap back at people back to back,” Ayra noted, as the hosts agreed with her observation.

The singer then made a more shocking confession, revealing that she had actively participated in online fan wars and trolling in the past.
“I did have a troll page before I became Ayra Starr. I had a Nicki Minaj fan page too. I used to be a troll, so I feel like I’ve been there, done that, but I feel like it’d fit me small. I respect it so much, I think I could use my own Ayra Starr page. Trolling would be so fun.”
Despite her playful remarks, Ayra Starr has faced intense scrutiny since rising to fame, particularly over her bold fashion choices, which have sparked debates and criticism on social media. However, she appears to take it all in stride, possibly drawing from her past online experiences.
