Asake’s Management debunks news that the singer will be Performing At Peter Obi’s Presidential Rally
The news that Asake would be appearing at Peter Obi’s campaign rally prompted a response from him via his management.
A flyer has been circulating the internet alleging that Asake, Wizkid, and others will be performing at the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate Peter Obi’s Abuja Rally on February 18th, 2022, which has now been discredited by the management of both Asake and Wizkid.
The news, which was disproved by Asake’s official news page on Instagram, indicated that the flier is bogus and that the event organiser will face legal action.
The post read:
FAKE NEWS❌‼️This is to inform the general public that this event led by @avotujohnson1st is a scam❌‼️
@asakemusic and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not be performing at the said event as claimed, so please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Asake and his management will not be liable for any damages.
Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.

Days ago, The management of Grammy award winner, Wizkid denied reports that the singer will be performing at the campaign of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
According to the singer’s manager, Sunday Are, the rumours that the singer would perform were false.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that this event led by @avotujohnson1st is a scam!!.
“Wizkid and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not perform at the said event as claimed, so please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Wizkid and his management will not be liable for any damages.
“Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.”
