Nigerian superstars Rema, Asake, and Omah Lay are set to headline the 2024 edition of the Promise Land festival, highlighting the global rise of Afrobeats through their captivating live performances.

International music festivals have become a key avenue for Nigerian artists to showcase Afrobeats on a global stage, with these three leading the charge.

Rema will perform on the second day of the festival, sharing the stage with artists like Jorja Smith, Miguel, and Fiji. Asake and Omah Lay are slated for the festival’s closing day, alongside hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes.

Other Nigerian artists joining the lineup include the dynamic band Compozers, Sarz, Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, Tiwa Savage, Victony, Ruger, and BNXN. In addition to the Nigerian stars, African artists like Black Sherif, King Promise, DBN Gogo, Major League DJz, Young Stunna, and Uncle Waffles will also be performing, further solidifying the festival’s African influence.

The prominence of Afrobeats stars in the lineup reflects the genre’s growing global impact, with Nigerian artists increasingly headlining some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and winning major international awards.

This momentum follows a significant milestone for Afrobeats in 2023 when the Grammy Awards introduced the Best African Music Performance category, with South African artist Tyla becoming the inaugural winner.
