Asake secures a spot on the 2022 MOBO award
Since signing a record deal with YBNL in 2022, Asake has had perhaps one of the most successful years, releasing his first EP, and first album, and now being nominated for his first international award.
Asake, a gifted vocalist, earned his first international award nomination at the MOBO Awards, an international award that recognises black excellence.
The ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe‘ crooner was nominated for his first international award in the category of Best African Music Act, alongside musicians such as Burna Boy, Tems, Fireboy DML, Rema, and others.
The full list of nominees was confirmed on Friday, November 11, 2022, and this category would be a fan-voted category as the winner would not be confirmed till the 30th of November, 2022. Although it is uncertain, we can anticipate that the artist will perform at the occasion.

Mr Money accomplished this incredible achievement with the help of his debut album, “Mr Money with the Vibe” (MMWTV).
Asake has been gaining popularity for several months thanks to his successful tunes, including Sungba, Omo Ope, Terminator, Peace Be Unto You, and others.
He has always made the number one slot on the Apple Music chart his home base, much to the chagrin of other artists who would love to taste the top spot.
