Making my debut album was not stressful because Olamide helped – Asake
The well-known musician Asake, whose real name is Ahmed Asake Ololade, has revealed how long it took him to make his latest album, “Mr. Money With The Vibe”
In order to maintain his illustrious run, Asake published his debut studio album, “Mr. Money With The Vibe” via YBNL/EMPIRE.
As previously reported, the Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy and the American rapper Russ both make guest appearances on the album.
Speaking with popular media personality Ehiz Dadaboy, who asked how long it took for the street-hop act to record his debut album, Asake made it known that there was no particular time span in which to record the project.
Asake claimed that his recording process is not predetermined or scheduled as it depends on his mood.
According to him, there are days when he wakes up and feels like recording seven songs at once while other times he can go an entire month without creating a single song.
He went on to state that his debut album’s recording process was made very easy with the help of the iconic rapper and his label owner, Olamide.
Asake claimed that the project went according to schedule and that he is pleased with how everything turned out.
The YBNL act released ‘Mr Money with the Vibe’ on Wednesday, September 7 and it already debuted on UK and Nigerian charts.

Mp3bullet.ng reported earlier that the street-hop singer recounted how ace rapper, Olamide noticed him and signed him to YBNL.
He said that before he got signed to Olamide’s YBNL nation, it took years of dedication toward achieving his heart’s desire.
Speaking in an interview with Cool FM, Asake revealed that he’s been sending messages to Olamide since 2020 but the label boss didn’t respond to any of his texts.
According to the ‘Sungba’ hit maker, he would slide into Olamide’s DM often asking for help and reminding him about how he helped his friends, of which Fireboy is among.
The singer further said he attended the same school with Fireboy, but the ‘peru’ hit-maker experienced a breakthrough in the entertainment business before him so he always brought it up while texting Olamide all in a bid to get the YBNL founder’s attention.
He added that sadly, all that didn’t work out at the time, but his dream turned to reality with the release of his smash hit, ‘Omo Ope’.
