‘Lonely At The Top’ becomes joint longest #1 song on Nigerian Radio chart.
Nigerian Afro-fuji sensational Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake has matched the number one spot on the Nigerian Radio chart.
After an extraordinary debut year in 2022, marked by a series of chart-topping singles culminating in a remarkable first album, Asake continues to maintain his supremacy in 2023.
In the latest edition of the TurnTable Radio chart, his popular single ‘Lonely At The Top‘ from his second album ‘Work of Art‘ has achieved the same number one position as Fireboy’s ‘Peru,’ featuring Ed Sheeran.
During the chart week from September 15th, 2023, to September 21st, 2023, ‘Lonely At The Top‘ secured its tenth week at the top of the chart, non-consecutively, tying the record previously set by Fireboy’s ‘Peru‘ remix from 2021 to 2011.

‘Lonely At The Top‘ has emerged as the favorite hit from Asake’s successful second album, driven by listener support. Furthermore, it is poised to establish a new number-one record on the TurnTable Top 100, which is Nigeria’s comprehensive chart combining radio, streaming (both premium and freemium), and TV.
The smash hit has remained at the top of the TurnTable Top 100 for 11 consecutive weeks, tying the record jointly with Omah Lay’s ‘Godly.’ If it maintains its top position in the coming week, it is set to break this record.
