Now a two-time Grammy nominee, Asake has had a busy 2025. After parting ways with EMPIRE, he now releases music under his label, Giran Republic, in partnership with global distribution company Gamma.
The Lagos-born star recently announced plans for his fourth studio album, Money, which is expected to drop later in 2025. The album title is inspired by one of his well-known monikers, “Mr. Money,” and follows in the footsteps of his debut album, Mr. Money With The Vibe.
Money will mark his fourth full-length studio release in as many years and his fifth overall project, starting from his 2022 debut EP Ololade Asake.
The forthcoming album arrives after the massive success of his 2024 project, Lungu Boy, which not only shattered multiple streaming records but was also declared Nigeria’s best-selling album of the year by TurnTable Charts.
Asake ended 2024 on a high note by clinching the title of Best-Selling Artist in Nigeria for a third consecutive year, a feat no other Nigerian artist has achieved to date.
